Choose dates around the experience

When is the best time to visit Egypt from France?

For a holiday centred on outdoor sightseeing, the milder months from November to April are a useful starting point. Egypt’s warmer season runs broadly from May to October, so the right dates also depend on how much time you want to spend at temples, on the river or by the sea.

TEMPLES & CITY VISITS

Give walking days comfortable conditions

If exploring Cairo, Luxor and archaeological sites is your priority, consider the milder season. For warmer travel dates, ask for earlier visits and breaks during the hottest part of the day.

NILE & RED SEA

Balance sightseeing with time outdoors

For a combined river and coastal trip, consider both the sightseeing schedule and the kind of beach break you want. Ask about the hotel’s pool facilities and planned boat activities rather than choosing on sunshine alone.

FIXED OR FLEXIBLE DATES

Compare the dates you can actually travel

If your leave dates are fixed, shape the route around them. If you have flexibility, request two date options for the same programme and compare the available accommodation, sailing schedule and total quote.

Know what you are choosing

What is included in your Egypt package?

Each programme has its own inclusions. Your final proposal should bring the route and its practical details together, so you can compare the whole trip.

  • Accommodation: hotels or boat, room or cabin category, nights and meal plan.
  • Transport: airport transfers and travel between destinations, including any train or domestic flight.
  • Visits: sites, entrance tickets, guiding language and private or shared arrangements.
  • Extras: international flights, optional excursions, drinks, tips and any meals not listed.
A clear budget in euros

How much will your Egypt holiday cost?

The price depends on your dates, party size, accommodation, route and included experiences. Share a budget in euros, per person or for your whole party, and tell us whether it also needs to cover flights from France.

Compare proposals for the same dates and level of accommodation. A shorter itinerary may involve different transport costs, while the boat and cabin category can change the cost of a Nile journey.

Confirm the quotation currency, payment schedule and any conversion charges before paying. A budget expressed in euros does not automatically mean payment will be collected in euros.

Choose comfort that suits your trip

How to choose your hotels and Nile cruise cabin

Look beyond the accommodation category. Location, room layout and the facilities you will use can matter as much as the hotel or boat name. Ask for the proposed properties and room or cabin types before comparing two Egypt packages.

HOTELS IN CAIRO & LUXOR

Consider where your days begin

Discuss the hotel’s location in relation to your planned visits, the bed arrangement and any need for a quieter room. If arriving early, check whether early room access is included, available at an extra charge or subject to availability.

NILE CRUISE CABINS

Ask about the cabin, not only the boat

Confirm the deck, bed setup, window or balcony type and access between decks. If stairs or noise are concerns, explain this before booking so the proposed cabin can be assessed against your needs.

RED SEA STAYS

Match the hotel to your beach plans

Check beach access, the meal plan, room occupancy and the facilities that matter to your party. Ask what an all-inclusive arrangement covers; excursions and activities should not be assumed to be included.

For the boat-based part of your holiday, compare our Nile cruise programmes or dahabiya options, then request the accommodation details for your chosen dates.

From France to your first night in Egypt

Plan the arrival before filling the days.

Whether you leave from Paris, Lyon, Marseille or another French city, your itinerary in Egypt should fit your actual arrival and return times. The departure city does not imply a direct flight or an airfare-inclusive package.

01 / FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS

Match both ends of the trip

Confirm the first and final overnight stops before buying flights. A programme that visits Hurghada does not necessarily end there.

02 / TIME AWAY

Count the travel days too

Eight days on a programme may require more than eight days away from home. Allow for international travel and ask for a quieter first evening after a late arrival.

03 / FAMILY PLANNING

Use your exact holiday dates

For French school holidays, send the dates that apply to your family and your children’s ages. Discuss room arrangements, breaks and transfer days together.

Travel in the language you prefer

French-speaking guiding. A route that feels like yours.

Request French-speaking guiding when you enquire, and have the covered visits and availability confirmed for your dates. Guiding language and private service are separate choices: a private visit does not mean exclusive use of a cruise boat.

Prefer more river time? Compare our Nile cruises and dahabiya journeys. Prefer fewer hotel changes or more time in Cairo? Explore our tailor-made Egypt tours.

Tell us which places matter most, your preferred pace and any mobility or room requirements. These details are more useful than adding destinations simply to fill an itinerary.

Before you book

Egypt tours from France: your questions

Are flights from France included?

International flights are not automatically included. Ask for the scope of your quote to be confirmed before buying tickets, including the arrival and departure airports and the transfers in Egypt.

Can I request a French-speaking guide?

Yes. Request French-speaking guiding when you enquire. Availability, covered visits and any private or shared arrangements should be confirmed in your final proposal.

Can we arrive in Cairo and leave from Hurghada?

Ask whether this fits your chosen programme. A Hurghada stay does not automatically mean the itinerary ends there. Confirm the final overnight stop and airport transfer before booking different arrival and departure airports.

Can the itinerary fit French school holidays?

Send your exact departure and return dates, the number of adults and children’s ages. The route, rooms and pace can then be considered against your family’s requirements and availability.

What should I check before paying a deposit?

Review the itinerary, accommodation, guiding language, inclusions, exclusions, total price and billing currency. Request the payment deadlines and written cancellation or change terms. Check the entry requirements for your travel document and your insurance cover before booking.
